ABOUT
Casa de Aero is an Academy of Model Aeronautics chartered club, #1723, that was founded in 1993. Currently we have about seventy five active members. Our flying field is located on the westerly side of the Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University Campus at 3700 Willow Creek Road Prescott, Arizona 86301. We are enjoying a cordial relationship with Embry-Riddle, which we are striving to maintain by being “good tenants.” We invite you and your family to join our Club and enjoy our R/C model airport. During the year we have many scheduled activities, such as fun-flys, picnics, etc. in addition to our daily model flying activities. We have club instructors available to help you get started, or for the more experienced R/C pilots, we have assistance available from the “Old Pros” in scale, pattern, racing, and other forms of flying.
MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS
Membership in our club is open to all, upon the submission of an application and the payment of dues. Membership in the Academy of Model Aeronautics, however, is required of all applicants prior to the submission of this application. Because of the liability involved in operation R/C aircraft, there are absolutely no exceptions allowed to this requirement. There is a one time Initiation fee of $35.00 for senior applicants (those 18 and over) and $5.00 for junior applicants (those under 18). Dues for senior members are $48.00 per year and $6.00 per year for junior members. Dues are to be paid during the month of January each year. New members joining after the first of January will have their dues prorated at $4.00 per month for senior members and $0.50 per month for junior members for the months remaining until the next January. The initiation fee and dues are waived for Embry-Riddle Students, faculty, and staff. A name tag will be issued to each new member, which is to be worn at the Flying Field when flying. CLUB MEETINGS
The club meetings take place on the first Tuesday of each month at 7:00PM in room 101, Building 21 (Robertson Aviation Safety Center) on the campus of Embry-Riddle, 3700 Willow Creek Road Prescott, Arizona 86301. Bring your latest Creation for show and tell if you like.
